A Family-Owned Oil Burner Company on Long Island
You deal with the same family business from the first phone call to the last handshake. Domino Oil Burner Service has been family-owned and operated on Long Island for more than 30 years, long enough to have worked on most makes of burner and boiler in most kinds of house on the island, from the postwar capes in Levittown to the older homes along the North Shore.
The work is heating, and only heating: oil burners, boilers and warm-air furnaces, oil-fired or gas, plus the oil tanks, controls and water heating equipment that go with them. Standby generators are the one addition, because a generator is what keeps the heat running when the power fails.
NORA-Certified, Licensed and Insured Technicians
Every technician holds certification from the National Oilheat Research Alliance, the industry body that trains and tests oil heat technicians, and keeps training as new equipment comes out. The company is licensed and fully insured. That matters most on the days it is invisible: a technician who has seen your make of burner many times before diagnoses it in minutes, and an insured company means a problem on the job is never your problem.
The brands are the ones found in Long Island basements: Beckett, Riello and Carlin burners, and boilers from Burnham, Weil-McLain and Peerless to Buderus, Bosch, Viessmann and System 2000. The heating services page lists every job in detail.
A Domino Service Call, From the Phone to the Repair
The phone is answered 24 hours a day, weekends and holidays included, by a dispatcher who gives you an arrival window rather than a promise to call back. When the outdoor temperature is below freezing, no-heat calls go ahead of other work on the schedule, because frozen pipes cost far more than a burner repair.
Each truck carries the parts that fail most often on Long Island heating systems: nozzles, electrodes, oil filters and pump strainers, cad cells, igniters, thermocouples and circulator pumps. Most calls end with the heat running on the first visit. The repair is quoted before anyone touches the system, and on a replacement you get the repair price and the new-equipment price side by side with the choice left to you.
No Service Contracts, Same Price for Everyone
Domino does not sell service contracts or maintenance plans. A tune-up is $219, a service call is $189 plus parts, and after-hours calls carry an additional charge that is quoted before dispatch. Those are the prices for a first-time caller and for a customer of twenty years alike. Every one of them is on the pricing page.
COD oil customers are welcome whoever delivers their oil. When you do want a delivery, our sister company Domino Fuel brings it on the same no-contract terms, including same-day and Sunday delivery, as the heating oil delivery page explains. Financing is available on new boilers, furnaces and generators.
Service Area: Suffolk County, Nassau County and Queens
Technicians live and work across Long Island and cover all of Suffolk County, all of Nassau County and Queens. The Suffolk County and Nassau County pages list the towns, and each town has its own page with the roads, housing and heating details that affect a service call there.
Long Island Homeowner Reviews of Domino
Domino holds a 4.5-star rating on Google from homeowners across Long Island. The customer reviews page collects some of them, and the Google listing linked in the footer has the rest. Read them for what they say about arrival times and straight pricing, since that is what most people check a heating company for.
